Light & Fast® in every detail to deliver essential sweater weight warmth in an ultralight, highly packable form. Utilizes the finest 1000 fill power goose down and a gossamer 7-denier nylon face fabric to achieve a miniscule weight, while the "skip-stitch" quilting pattern promotes thermal efficiency. Cut for a trim fit to work effectively with outer layers. Every small component and even the quilting pattern was given consideration in the design process to make the lightest jacket possible. Its compactness defies conventional wisdom regarding insulated clothing, allowing you experience Montbell's philosophy of "Light & Fast" first hand. Montbell's premium EX DOWN comes from water fowl that live in regions with seasonal temperature extremes. The down balls from birds in such regions are characteristically much larger. Large down balls hold more warm air, which translates to needing less down to provide exceptional warmth retention. Montbell never purchases down from operations that practice “live-plucking” methods. We only utilize down plumes and feathers collected as a by-product of water fowl raised to meet the demands of the food industry.
